The dentigerous plate is thin and dense, and has the appearance of a short toothed comb

witlh a handle. The tooth-like
<emphasis id="B9619419FFD22E66FAB6FC62B2B9FB83" box="[1381,1479,1019,1052]" italics="true" pageId="12" pageNumber="260">points</emphasis>
are the extremities of low ridges, which are arranged nearly at right
<emphasis id="B9619419FFD22E66FE5CFBC2B68DFBE3" box="[399,499,1115,1148]" italics="true" pageId="12" pageNumber="260">angles</emphasis>
to a wide longitudinal elevated half of the osseous base. They are separated by shallow grooves from each other, and are not continuous with the basis just mentioned,which rises abrtuptly above them. They are smooth. The
