grows in evergreen broad-leaf forests in Xichou County Yunnan Province, China. One subpopulation of about 10 individuals was discovered during our fieldwork. The habitat has been severely fragmented due to the development of agriculture. During our survey in nearby forests, we did not find any additional subpopulation of the new species. According to IUCN criteria v15.1 (IUCN 2022), we putatively assessed this new species as Critically Endangered CR C2a(i).
