). The present record is the first one for the Oriental region. This raises intriguing questions about possible dispersal mechanisms, tolerances to a wide range of environmental factors and the resulting biogeographical distribution. The morphology of the

specimens is very similar to that of the Japanese specimens, including that of the male reproductive organs (

). Six females and

were found from 2 localities in this study. The species has thus far been found in various habitats ranging from rice fields, man-made ponds, lakes (see
