. Antennae simple, filiform; labial palps short, 3rd segment about half the length of 2nd, proboscis very small, vestigial; head and thorax covered with pure white scales. Ground colour of forewing pure white with light dusting of separate blackish scales, especially well expressed in medial and subterminal fields; main elements of wing pattern blackish, contrasting with white ground colour. Basal and sub-basal lines marked on basal, costal area and subcostal areas on Cu vein as wide blackish dashes; antemedial lines marked as black dusting and three dashes in costal, subcostal and tornal areas, in the medial area they may be hardly visiable except as thin interrupted line of black scales; medial field white, with medial shadow, expressed as wide blackish dash in costal area and blackish cell between orbicular and reniform spots; orbicular and reniform white, or not expressed, however in some specimens hardly visible, part of cell between orbicular and reniform shadowed with black; subterminal line, double, dentate, thin in costal part of wing; subterminal field not separated from terminal one, slightly dusted with blackish scales, with darker subterminal mark in costal area and blackish dusting in mid; subterminal line not expressed; terminal line as interrupted row of weak black transversal streaks; cilia speckled, pure white between veins, black opposite veins. Hindwing brownish-grey, darker in outer part; discal spot hardly traceable; cilia whitish-grey, with grey marks opposite veins.
