Head with transverse angulate sulcus separating rostral base deeply incised, leading ventrad in front of eye; vertex with radial furrows distinct. Eyes asymmetrically convex, drawn posteriad. Rostrum shorter than wide (0.91 X), parallel-sided; apical declivity subglabrous, with sparse erect setae; dorsum with fine median furrow bordered by glabrous ridges. Pronotum 1.12 X longer than wide; coarsely punctate, medially scabrous. Elytra 1.19 X as long as wide; dorsally weakly convex; in front of declivity intervals 37 with large tubercle, forming ridge parallel to elytral margin; with numerous smaller tubercles and nodes, these on top with erect, curved, claviform scales.
