The gnathopods of this species are of a peculiar form, with the attachment point of the propodus to the carpus being on a very small point of the propodus. The gnathopods then hang downward, much like a pendulum. The propodus of the gnathopods are of an equilateral triangular shape, with the dorsal and ventral margins nearly straight.
