Frontal shield granular, sparsely pseudoporous. Orifice transVersely D-shaped; hingeline straight, smooth; oral spines lacking. Ascopore elliptical, opening crescentic with projecting tongue and radial spines. Avicularium single, placed level with ascopore, oriented distolaterally; crossbar complete; opesia semielliptical; rostrum channelled. Ovicells not personate.</paragraph>
