Medium-sized cockroaches. Both sexes similar. Ocular distance slightly narrower than the distance between antennal sockets, greater than ocellar distance. Pronotum broad, anterior margin curved and posterior margin obtusely produced. Tegmina and wings usually brachypterous, not reaching the abdominal apex (except for macropterous
