This species is recognized by the contrastingly dark midcoxa and the structure of the hind femur, with a basal rounded lobe bearing a triangular group of peglike setae, followed more distally by a dorsoventral carina.</paragraph>

Description. Body length:

. Head: Frons dark brown, second row of setae slightly concave. Flagellomere 1 rounded-oval, brown. Palpus slightly enlarged, inflated, orange to yellow. Thorax: Scutum light brown. Scutellum brown, with 2 pairs of subequal setae; anterior seta only slightly shorter than posterior. Pleuron whitish-yellow ventrally to light brown dorsally; dorsum of anepisternum with brown spot. Mean costal length 0.49 wing length, range 0.47–0.5. Halter light brown. Legs yellowish-brown, except apex of hind femur dark brown. Forecoxa in lateral view yellow. Foretibia with 4 dorsal setae. Foretarsomeres slender, elongate. Midcoxa dark brown. Hind coxa whitish-yellow. Hind coxal lobe yellow, moderately developed, triangular in lateral view. Posterior face of hind femur with basal triangular group of peglike setae on rounded lobe bisected by dorsoventral carina; more distally with elongate, tapered carina (
