Spiders of this genus are easily distinguishable by the elongated coxa, trochanter and patella of the Frst legs, the peculiar spination of the metatarsus (2 pairs of ventral spines) and tibia I (4 prolateral and 3 retrolateral spines), and the patella and tibia with a ventral fringe of black hairs (
