. The collection locality in the Kwebuyu River in the forested Nguu Mountains at 863 m ASL is a tributary in the watershed of the Wami River that drains east to the Indian Ocean. The Nguu Mountains are a protected site listed as a Key Biodiversity Area of international significance because they meet established criteria for recognition as a site of biodiversity importance.
