Spore-sac subglobose, 3-8 mm. Endoperidium hyphal, encrusting sand. Endoperidium greyish white to pale greyish ochraceous with some adhering sand grains, smooth. Mouth fibrillose-fimbriate, slightly mammose (Figure 9f). Socket inconspicuous. Stem slender, 15-23 x 1-2 mm, whitish to pale yellowish brown towards the base, which is slightly widened, covered by sand and provided with a distinct pseudorhiza (Figure 9a,e). Capillitium 3-7

The species reminds of the new species

in macro-morphology but differs in spore size (lectotype: 4.5-5.5
