To my knowledge, only six specimens are known.

described this species based on four specimens, two males and two females. Although a
<typeStatus id="304AC1BF4E409932FC2EF8E4CACDDF3A" box="[921,1023,1858,1884]" pageId="24" pageNumber="25" type="holotype">holotype</typeStatus>
was designated, all four specimens were labeled as cotypes. A male in good condition in USNM is clearly the
<typeStatus id="304AC1BF4E409932FBA7F8C1CD45DFE7" box="[1040,1143,1895,1921]" pageId="24" pageNumber="25" type="holotype">holotype</typeStatus>
based on collection date and collector. The three
<typeStatus id="304AC1BF4E409932FE7AF82ACB77DFC0" box="[461,581,1932,1958]" pageId="24" pageNumber="25" type="paratype">paratypes</typeStatus>
are in MCZ. I did not examine specimens from the
<typeStatus id="304AC1BF4E409932FB6BF82ACC20DFC0" box="[1244,1298,1932,1958]" pageId="24" pageNumber="25">type</typeStatus>
series, but examined two female specimens (collected in 1934) from the Melander Collection (USNM). This species may now be extinct (
