This species was found on a steep slope along a forest trail. It was perching atop a fallen dried leaf on the ground. Unlike other species of tiger beetle encountered during this study, which climb into the insect net, when a net is positioned above an individual of this species, it tends to drop to the ground and crawl under a leaf or sometimes into a small crevice in the ground.
