here examined were collected from bananas in

the state of
<collectingRegion id="385389F5FFD6AD27FACFFE61FF1AC609" country="Brazil" name="Sao Paulo" pageId="6" pageNumber="459">São Paulo</collectingRegion>
by Martinez (USNM). Judging from their location and year of collection, this material probably represents the specimens used to record the species as pest of bananas in
<collectingCountry id="82800787FFD6AD27FC96FDD9FCA2C655" box="[811,879,583,609]" name="Brazil" pageId="6" pageNumber="459">Brazil</collectingCountry>

) without indication of identifier and vouchers in the original publication. These larvae are very similar to the ones collected by the present authors with adults of the conspecific

, and we were not able to find reliable differences to distinguish these species in the key above. The most obvious difference is the darker pronotal blotches in
