Branchiae bottle brush-like, only on segment 2; eyespots absent; lateral lappets present on segments 13; ventral shields from segment 3; nephridial papillae on segments 67; 17 pairs of notopodia from segment 4, notochaetae smooth, lanceolate; neuropodia from segment 5, uncini avicular, without posterior process, but uncinal base curved; uncini in single rows on segments 510; uncini in double rows, arranged face to face, until segment 20; thereafter in single rows.
