The dark brown coloration of most specimens, dense pubescence throughout the integument, which is particularly dense and brighter white on the scutellum, absence of basal antennal carinae, outer antennomeres with vestiture of very short and dense pubescence, and elytral apices rounded or dentiform apicolaterally to a moderate to strong sutural spine are distinctive features of this species.
