) sont plus petites que les molaires avec un contour plus ovale, elles en différent par leur hypocône très réduit et moins lingual. Le paracône y est un peu plus volumineux que le métacône. Lantérolophe, plus bas que le protolophe, se termine au niveau de lextrémité de la préprotocrista, sans la rejoindre. Il est plus court et se connecte au protolophe sur la plus petite des P4, qui est aussi la P4 la plus usée. La partie buccale du protolophe est le plus souvent séparée de la partie linguale (= préprotocrista), avec qui elle forme un angle. Distalement à cela, une cuspule, vestige du métaconule, parfois doublée dune crestule issue de la préprotocrista, comblent létroit mésoflexus, ou rejoignent un mésolophe de longueur moyenne. Pour M1 et M2, lantérolophe est plus bas que le postérolophe; il est long se terminant du côté lingual en un renflement antérostyle, et du côté buccal par un parastyle arqué un peu plus renflé sur M1 que sur M2. Un (ou deux, une fois) mésostyle(s) est prolongé par un (ou deux, une fois) mésolophe(s) de longueur moyenne à courte. Des crestules et/ou cuspules peuvent être présentes dans le mésoflexus. Le protolophe forme un angle marqué entre sa partie buccale et sa partie linguale (préprotocrista), toutes deux orientées vers lavant; il sinterrompt rarement au niveau de cette jonction. Préprotocrista et postprotocrista forment un V un peu plus ouvert que sur P4. Lendolophe est comme sur P4, haut et court, interrompu avant lhypocône, ce qui fait que le postéroflexus est ouvert lingualement (= profond sinus lingual in

Lantérolophe, bas, est continu, renflé en antérostyle, lingualement, et ne joint pas le protocône. Le protolophe est bien angulé au niveau dun épaississement (paraconule) et continu, comme sur les autres molaires. Le V du protocône est plus ouvert que sur M2. Lhypocône est un simple épaississement de lextrémité linguale du postérolophe, séparé du protocône. Le mésostyle est simple, étiré mésiodistalement, et bas, comme le métacône. Le mésolophe est bien visible, précédé par un court mésolophe additionnel peu visible. Le métacône est réduit et plus lingual que sur M2, formant un arc avec le court postérolophe. Le métalophe est grêle, bas et complet. Sa partie buccale, la plus courte forme un angle peu marqué, largement ouvert, avec sa partie linguale, au niveau de lemplacement du métaconule. Le métaconide renflé est précédé pas une prémétacristide linguobuccale et suivi par la postmétacristide mésiodistale. Lantérolophide est variablement présent, bas, fermant à lavant lantéroflexide, lequel est étroit linguobuccalement. La partie buccale du métalophide II est épaisse correspondant à un étirement lingual du protoconide; elle forme un angle avec sa partie linguale, plus grêle. La partie mésiale de lectolophide est très basse ou absente. Le mésoconide, renflé, est prolongé buccalement par un épais et court ectomésolophide, tandis que le mésolophide est plus grêle ou réduit, parfois relié à la partie linguale de lentolophide. Lectolophide distal, grêle, plus haut que le mésial, est peu distinct de la préhypocristide, lorsquelle existe. Lhypoconide est étiré en son épaisse posthypocristide, en continuité avec le haut postérolophide, plongeant au niveau du petit entoconide. Lhypoconulide est indistinct. Lentolophide est le plus souvent bas et discontinu, sa partie linguale pouvant être dirigée vers le postérolophide, ou bien vers le mésolophide. Quelques rares tubercules ou crestules accessoires peuvent être observées dans le bassin du talonide.

D-O) le métaconide est toujours plus saillant que les autres cuspides et lentoconide est le plus petit. Le métalophide II buccal est relativement épais, long et rectiligne, jusquà la base du métaconide. Il se courbe à ce niveau pour «grimper » sur le métaconide. Cette partie linguale du métalophide II est distincte sur moins de la moitié des m1-2. Les m1 (BUX 81-39 à 53, BUX 68-41, 42 et 63) se différencient des m2 (BUX 81-54 à 67, BUX 68-21, 60) par leur antérolophide plus court, quelquefois réduit à un antéroconide plus ou moins isolé et renflé (e.g., BW 68-41). Sur m1 et m2, lantéroflexide est étroit mésiodistalement, et ouvert buccalement, tandis que la prémétacristide linguobuccale le ferme lingualement. Lextrémité distale de la postmétacristide est souvent renflée en un petit métastylide saillant. Elle peut être doublée par un vrai mésostylide. Tous deux peuvent être prolongés buccalement par un court mésolophulide. Lectolophide mésial est grêle, court, et bas. Il sinterrompt (BW68-21) avant datteindre le mésoconide. Le grêle et bas ectolophide distal est parfois décalé lingualement par rapport au mésial. Il est renflé en cuspule sur BUX 68-60. La préhypocristide est courte à absente. Le mésoconide est renflé, allongé linguobuccalement en épais ectomésolophide, tandis que le mésolophide est plus grêle, variablement développé ou absent. Lentolophide exceptionnellement complet est toujours bas, sa partie linguale étant la plus constante. Celle-ci est une fois dirigée vers le postérolophide et une fois elle est alignée avec la partie buccale. Cette dernière est absente ou présente, alors reliée à lectolophide distal, rarement au mésolophide. Celui-ci peut être accompagné par des crestules basses, variablement connectées, ou isolées.
