are characterized by a small rostrum. The antennal scale with a smooth outer margin terminates in a denticle. Elongated thoracic limbs. Well developed biramous pleopods in the male, the endopod of the first pair is rudimentary and unjointed, none of the distal setae modified. The telson is short and triangular with a truncate apex, apex armed with one or two pairs of small spines and a pair of plumose setae, lateral margins either spinose or naked.
