Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, non-pigmented, and short rod-shaped. Colonies are small, circular, sticky, convex, and yellow-colored after 3 days of incubation on MA (pH 6.0) at 30°C. Positive for urease, esculin hydrolysis,
<emphasis id="AAB4EAFB6227821CFE39868D67C3FAA3" box="[482,497,1263,1287]" italics="true" pageId="9" pageNumber="22">β</emphasis>
-galactosidase, and cytochrome cytochrome oxidase, but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, and gelatinase in the API 20NE test. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannose, D-mannitol,
