is associated with oak branch cankers and forms both sexual and asexual fruiting structures beneath cankered bark. Within the genus,
<taxonomicName lsidName="D. quercus" pageId="18" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="quercus">D. quercus</taxonomicName>
produces the second largest conidia, smaller only than those of
<taxonomicName lsidName="D. qinlingense" pageId="18" pageNumber="85" rank="species" species="qinlingense">D. qinlingense</taxonomicName>
(Table 2). The presence of dimorphic conidia in
