|
||
Valves elliptical, elliptic-lanceolate to lanceolate. Externally raphe branches distinctly undulate. Proximal raphe ends strongly curved and raised above the valve surface. Distal raphe ends hooked towards the same direction and continue onto the valve mantle. Central area with a large round isolated stigma with 5–6 radial outgrowths. Pseudoloculi with round or transapically elongated foramina, located at an angle relative to the valve surface. Valve apices lack pseudoloculi. Valve face separated from the mantle by a marginal ridge. Valve mantle shallow with the mantle striae composed of a single large pseudoloculum. Internally raphe branches straight; proximal ends simple; distal ends terminate in small helictoglossae. Inner areolae one to four per pseudoloculum. Valve apices with pseudosepta. Partectal ring present, partecta equal in size and almost reach the valve apices.
