at Qeqertarsuaq, Disko, is remarkable as the transition from a low arctic to a high arctic biome takes place across this island, with several homothermic springs in the southern half providing for some amelioration of the local climate (Kristensen 2006). It is also noteworthy that the fauna on the southern part of this island is relatively well studied due to the presence of a permanent research station in Qeqertarsuaq since 1906: Arktisk Station, which from 1953 has been managed by the University of Copenhagen (

The oldest specimens examined are from Kangerlussuaq 1992, and as Kangerlussuaq Airport is the international hub for Air

large enough for larger airliners, introduction from

or

, possibly via nests constructed on heavy machinery or vehicles, would seem very likely. Based on the material available and the fact that both Kangerlussuaq and Qeqertarsuaq have many observant biologists, including entomologists, passing through, it may be hypothesised that
