Upperside black, the basal half of both the wings covered with minute yellow scales, markings pure white. Fore wing with large white spot. Hind wing with a very large medial white patch with its margin sinous all around; abdominal area covered with yellow hair. Upper side fore wing with markings and hind wing with white medial patch.
