Male pygofer without processes, broadly rounded apically in lateral view with a group of very long setae apically and a few shorter setae subapically (fig. 8). Subgenital plate distinctly shorter than pygofer, broad basally with distal two thirds very narrow in ventral view; a uniseriate row of macrosetae subbasally and a few short fine setae distally (

Aedeagus disassociated from connective; shaft very short and robust, much shorter than basal apodeme, with a pair of short apical processes and a dorsal serrated flange basally on each side, gonopore apical on posterior surface; basal apodeme compressed anteroposteriorly, bifurcate apically and produced into a lobe on each side at midlength (

but the aedeagal shaft is much shorter and broader. The locality of the French specimens is a well-known entomological site with a very rich and interesting fauna. This would seem to be born out by the unusual distribution of the new species (see also discussion by
