IDENTIFICATION:

</taxonomicName>
is only known from the Yavarí-Ucayali interfluve, although it is probably more widely distributed in western Amazonia (Simmons et al., 2002; Medina et al, 2015). This species can be distinguished from other congeners by the following combination of characteristics: dark-brown dorsal and ventral fur, ears connected across the crown by a low interauricular band of skin with a shallow midline notch, short (≤

) fur on the leading edge of the pinna, forearm
