Cells are Gram-staining-positive, non-flagellated and rod shaped. Colonies are circular, entire, convex and yellow colored after 3 days on MA at 30°C. Positive for esculin hydrolysis,
<emphasis id="B95CEAF29F67144969444D70FBDCFD79" box="[1098,1113,633,657]" italics="true" pageId="8" pageNumber="33">β</emphasis>
-galactosidase, gelatinase and glucose fermentation in API 20NE, but negative for arginine dihydrolase, indole production, nitrate reduction and urease.

-Acetyl-glucosamine, L-arabinose, D-glucose, malic acid, D-maltose, D-mannitol, D-mannose, potassium gluconate and trisodium citrate are utilized.
