Prothallus not seen. Thallus white or grey, endolithic. Perithecia 0.25-0.35 mm, 1/2-3/4(-1)-immersed, leaving shallow to deep pits in the rock. Involucrellum reaching the exciple base, ca. 70-90 mm thick, appressed to the exciple or slightly diverging from the exciple. Exciple ca. 0.15-0.25 mm in diam., wall pale. Periphysoids ca. 25
