Among the features pointed out by him for this species we found: in male, head (except for reddish frons), prothorax, elytra, abdomen and ventral surface of thorax black; in female, head, prothorax, mesothorax and scutellum orangish; in male, eyes divided; prothorax slightly wider than long in both sexes; elytra in male from 2.0 to 2.1 times prothorax length; elytra in female 2.8 times prothorax length.

female because there are no males of this species in MZSP collection, and the male types are deposited at the MNRJ collection (the second author knows that Ubirajara R.
