The species is named for the late Al Wigger, a

educator and fan of earthworms, at the request of his friends.

Male pores near lateral margins of ventrum in XVIII at 12th setal lines, 0.220.30 circumference apart ventrally, at center of arc-shaped pad composed of two reniform sections joined end-to-end, arc convex laterally. Paired genital papillae equatorial on XVIII, just medial to male pores; paired papillae equatorial in XVII, XIX; spermathecal pores two pairs in 7/88/9 at 11th setal lines; first dorsal pore 4/5 or 5/6; stout prostatic ducts one complete loop clockwise (L), anti clockwise (R).

Paired genital papillae equatorial on XVIII, just medial to male pores; paired papillae equatorial in XVII, XIX just lateral to male pores. Spermathecal pores paired in 7/8/9 at 11th setal line, deep in furrows, near lateral margins of ventrum, 0.210.25 circumference apart ventrally. Genital markings lacking in preclitellar segments.

Ovaries in XIII. Spermathecae two pairs in VII, VIII; ampulla cordate, flattened, grooves on surfaces, muscular ducts shorter than ampulla, iridescent seminal chamber bean-shaped, with thin coiled stalk; coils bound together, shorter than ampulla; stalk joins duct near ampulla base, no nephridia on ducts.
