Black, frons and vertex flat, quadrate, densely and uniformly punctate, covered with dense pubescence; genae deeply rugose, apex shallow but pointing forward. Anterior part of head slightly narrowed. Antennal sockets, flat and widely spaced. Antennae dark-brown, sparsely covered with fine pubescence; scape densely and coarsely punctate and pubescent; antennomere III flattened, wider at its apex, covered by fine pubescence, equivalent in length to other antennomeres.

Pronotum black, quadrate, densely and deeply punctate, entirely covered with long setae, apical part displaying a fringe of short whitish setae. Scutellum black, surface micro-sculptured, distinct punctation lacking. Prosternum, metasternum, and metacoxae finely punctate, with long setae. Fore legs inserted on first third of thorax.
