This species is transcontinental in the north ranging from Newfoundland (Lindroth 1955a: 139; probably only as strays) to western Yukon Territory, south to northern Oregon along the west coast, southeastern Arizona and central New Mexico in the Rocky Mountains, the Black Hills in western South Dakota, northern Illinois, and southwestern Pennsylvania (Noonan 1991: 56) in the east [see Noonan 1991: Fig. 268]. The records from Connecticut (Britton 1920: 218; see Krinsky and

2001: 5), Indiana (Blatchley 1910: 186), and southwestern Oklahoma (Kondratieff et al. 2005: 172) need confirmation.
