Ribs are low, somewhat irregular and narrower than their intercostal space, abruptly lower, narrower, and curved in anal sinus.
<emphasis id="B942EAC0FAF6FF3BC9E6BC34FCF1FAE2" bold="true" box="[734,793,1327,1352]" italics="true" pageId="147" pageNumber="148">Varix</emphasis>
broad, low, hump-like, approximately ⅓-turn from edge of outer lip.
<emphasis id="B942EAC0FAF6FF3BCA19BC4FFE32FAC7" bold="true" box="[289,474,1364,1389]" italics="true" pageId="147" pageNumber="148">Spiral sculpture</emphasis>
of microscopic threads, separated by space 34 times their width, made jagged by the intersection of sub-equal growth striae between which are rectangular pits. More widely spiral grooves, up to about 11 on last whorl, overlay this pattern and end in “teeth” on edge of outer lip.
<emphasis id="B942EAC0FAF6FF3BC8CABC87FBA8FA1F" bold="true" box="[1010,1088,1436,1461]" italics="true" pageId="147" pageNumber="148">Sulcus</emphasis>
approximately ¼-whorl height on spire, demarcated by abrupt change in height of ribs, lower, narrower, curved, reflecting outline of anal sinus.
<emphasis id="B942EAC0FAF6FF3BCBAFBCFFFF16FA57" bold="true" box="[151,254,1508,1533]" italics="true" pageId="147" pageNumber="148">Outer lip</emphasis>
thin, flattened from varix to edge, which is nearly straight from anal sinus to the stromboid notch. Up to about 4 strengthening axial folds may be present; stromboid notch shallow.
<emphasis id="B942EAC0FAF6FF3BC8D4BF1CFB81F98A" bold="true" box="[1004,1129,1543,1568]" italics="true" pageId="147" pageNumber="148">Anal sinus</emphasis>
deeply notched, U-shaped, bounded by a parietal lobe on one side and outer lip, which is turned outward, on the other such that it appears spout-like; entrance slightly constricted.

narrow, margined, thickened and erect along anterior canal, thinner on parietal wall, and formed into a thick lobe posteriorly at sinus opening.

short, open, turned slightly to the right when viewed ventrally; notched. Anterior fasciole with coarse spiral threads.
