(Martigny-Combe, VS), but the

. The taxon has been discussed critically due to intermediary song patterns observed several times in northern

) where the species is still present and frequent.

). It is well distributed in the
<collectingRegion id="499DF82FFFC5FFA822988D37FD81C673" box="[501,545,1329,1353]" country="Switzerland" name="Jura" pageId="23" pageNumber="252">Jura</collectingRegion>
Mountains including the Randen massif in the east and entering to the eastern part of the hilly Swiss Plateau. We have found 17 local populations solely in the
<collectingRegion id="499DF82FFFC5FFA822F28D77FDFCC6B3" box="[415,604,1393,1417]" country="Switzerland" name="Aargau" pageId="23" pageNumber="252">Canton of Aargau</collectingRegion>
, some of them abundant. It also occurs quite regularly in the lower
<collectingRegion id="499DF82FFFC5FFA822138D97FE1EC693" box="[382,446,1425,1449]" country="Switzerland" name="Valais" pageId="23" pageNumber="252">Valais</collectingRegion>
and in the Chablais (VD). The main distribution is split into two big disjunct metapopulations in
<collectingCountry id="F34E765DFFC5FFA8215A8DB7FD14C6F3" box="[567,692,1457,1481]" name="Switzerland" pageId="23" pageNumber="252">Switzerland</collectingCountry>
(

and Chablais/

). Additionally,there are three supposedly isolated local populations: Immenberg(TG, discovered by Keist), Uetliberg(ZH, discovered by Rey) and Epesses (VD).
