-like mites. Coxae not extending to anterior idiosoma margin. Anterior end of ventral shield entire, dorsal shield posteriorly unmodified. Male without cauda development. Dorsal and ventral shields completely separated. Dorsal shield with 24 pairs of glandularia, occasionally only associated setae present. Vgl-4 either lying free or fused with ventral shield. Genital field with three pairs of acetabula, gonopore small and subterminal and fused with ventral shield in male, wider and acetabula lying on a pair of genital plates in female. Excretory pore either lying on a small platelet posterior to the genital field or fused with the dorsal shield. Excretory pore of female either fused with postgenital sclerite or separated. Glandularia in dorsal furrow lying on small or large platelets. IV-leg-1 of male with a large dorsal seta. Palp with a slender P5. Fourth leg of male either of normal size or enlarged, in the latter case with claws of different size.
