Head-body 51-63 mm (tailless), ear 13-19 mm, hindfoot 10-14 mm, forearm 35-41 mm; weight 10-18 g. The Incan Broad-nosed Bat is small, with relatively robust skull and broad rostrum. Dorsal pelage ranges from light to dark brown; hairs are bicolored, with pale bases. Ventral pelage is lighter brown; hairs are bicolored, with whitish tips. White facial stripes (supraocular and subocular) are narrow but conspicuous, as is dorsal stripe. Ears and noseleaf are narrowly rimmed with cream or whitish. Proximal one-half of forearm is densely covered with long hairs. Uropatagium is very short (less than

), with pale fringe of long hairs along posterior edge. Hindfeet have long dense brown hair on dorsal surfaces. Upper incisors are unequal in size, and I&quot; are convergent but not in contact. M' protocone is well developed. Two stylar cuspules occur on posterior cristid of PY. One or two stylid cuspulids occur on anterior cristid of P,, and two on its posterior cristid. Chromosomal complement has 2n = 30 and FN = 56.
