Collected specimens have the broad, globular chambers that are diagnostic for this species. The aboral chambers are strongly inflated, have rounded peripheries with lightly depressed sutures and the chambers taper up to the aperture. The aperture consists of terminal, radial slit-like segments that are fused at their peak (
