Growth occurs at 10–37 °C (optimum, 24 °C), pH 4.5–9.5 (optimum, pH 7.0) and <0.5% NaCl (w/v; optimum, 0%). Positive for oxidase, catalase, urease and nitrate reduction, but negative for H
