Head, mesosoma, and petiolar node red in the largest major workers; the percentage of brown in body coloration increases in smaller major workers with the smallest major workers reddish brown. Legs most often black or black with brownish black coxa; in the largest major workers coxa and trochanters mostly reddish brown to brown with darker brown spots of diffused borders; in the palest specimens femora brownish black with reddish iridescence, tibiae sometimes reddish brown apically, and tarsi reddish brown to brown.
