is a widespread species, which is also recorded from the Red Sea, and immigrant to the Mediterranean Sea via the Suez Canal. Barry Russell (pers. comm.) has examined material from many localities and concluded that specimens from the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea represent an undescribed species and the collected material is currently under study by him.
