.ffli s specimen is characterized by the following features: (1) the papilliform projection on the anterior margin of the eyeplate is represented by a small knob (Fig. 23A); (2) the antennal scale is large and overreaches the distal end of the antennular peduncle by half its length (Fig. 23A, B); (3) the distolateral spine of the antennal scale extends slightly beyond the anterior end of the blade and is provided with two subsidiary spinules on the basal part of the inner side (Fig. 23B, C); (4) the endopods of the third and fourth thoracopods have a subchelate termination (condition in other thoracopodal endopods unknown) (Fig. 23E, G); and (5) the uropodal endopod is armed with two spines on the inner margin in the statocyst region (Fig. 23H).

A formal description of a new species is deferred in the hope that additional intact specimens will be collected.</paragraph>
