This species was the most abundant and frequent of the genus

(n = 62 individuals). Specimens were collected off Laguna Madre, Tamaulipas;

The bathymetric range was different in summer (352.0-1144.0) and autumn (510.0-552.0 m). Females presented a slightly larger mean carapace length x = 8.9
|

The Tukey post hoc test, showed that summer was significantly different from autumn and spring. The largest mean size was found in summer whereas the smallest one was observed in autumn (Fig. 2b). Significant differences were found between 800-899 and 1000-1099 m depth interval and the others. Also, a size increasing trend related to depth was apparent (Fig. 2a).
