Anterior dorsal surface covered in very long robust setae, either broad tear-shaped or long and curved at the ends. Antennae robust; as long as head and thorax, only elongating near tips; scape and pedicle with long paddle-shaped robust setae on margins; first few posterior segments with very long robust setae curved at the ends.

Pronotum narrow, width greater than length. Outer margin with dense fringe of long robust setae both tear-shaped, long and curled at the tips; medial area of pronotum with similar setae. Meso- and meta-nota with similar setae to pronotum in medial area, on raised bosses at base of wingpads, on hind margins; and on inner margin of mesonotal wingpads.

Tibiae with very long robust setae slightly curled near the tip present on all surfaces; long fine setae present in distal area on outer margin; paddle-like long robust setae present along outer margin more prominently in proximal area.

Cerci short and narrow, hair fringe very conspicuous on margin of first 10 segments. Gills purplish. Paraprocts very long, approximately two times the basal width, inner and outer margins straight.
