Within the species of the hylacis species group, the range of
<taxonomicName lsidName="S. parvus" pageId="46" pageNumber="47" rank="species" species="parvus">S. parvus</taxonomicName>
is overlapped by the range of
<taxonomicName lsidName="S. subquadratus" pageId="46" pageNumber="47" rank="species" species="subquadratus">S. subquadratus</taxonomicName>
. However, with the exception of Puerto Rico, the two species have not been recorded from the same island within their respective ranges. Relationships of
<taxonomicName lsidName="S. parvus" pageId="46" pageNumber="47" rank="species" species="parvus">S. parvus</taxonomicName>
are not postulated beyond species group membership.
