This genus, created for a male specimen from northeastern

(Río Amazonas, Iquitos), is compared to

, described from the upper Amazon. It has longer tegmina and hind femora than the male

of that species, but venation and stridulatory area of the tegmina, shape of pronotum, and particularly the cerci coincide very well. The female

of

shows the same darkened clypeus as Pizas specimen. On the latters tegmina is visible a line of faint orangish spots above the radial vein, apparently the eponymous “
<emphasis id="B902EAA3A830CD46FC4091A7B263FA66" box="[1008,1389,1459,1484]" italics="true" pageId="15" pageNumber="56">serie punctorum ferrugineorum</emphasis>
” of Brunner von Wattenwyls species.
