The series I was able to study showed some colour differences regarding Gauld original description, either in the interocellar area (brown instead of black) and the metasoma (rather orangebrown with tips dark in some specimens). On the other hand the species is rather uniform. An aditional character to separate this species of its close sisterspecies pair
