Lectotype (♂), designated by Noonan (1991: 62), in MCZ [# 5899]. Etymology. The specific name was proposed for Samuel Lewis, a physician from Philadelphia who had an interest in North American

<paragraph pageId="697" pageNumber="698">This species ranges from Nova Scotia to central Alberta and southeastern Northwest Territories, south to southern Wisconsin and Connecticut [see Noonan 1991: Fig. 270]. All known sites in the United States are east of the Mississippi.</paragraph>
