DIAGNOSIS: Recognized by the

extending to about the middle of the abdomen,
<emphasis id="B92EEAF8FF07FF052E49F952F880FB6C" italics="true" lastPageId="212" lastPageNumber="213" pageId="211" pageNumber="212">dorsal vestiture reclining to sub­ erect, anteocular distance almost 2 times diameter of antennal segment 1</emphasis>
(fig. 38A), and the usually
<emphasis id="B92EEAF8FF00FF052C60FB62FBD5FB49" box="[272,647,1180,1203]" italics="true" pageId="212" pageNumber="213">red­orange general coloration</emphasis>
(fig. 12) with the
<emphasis id="B92EEAF8FF00FF052C34FB47FB11FB14" italics="true" pageId="212" pageNumber="213">clypeus and maxillary plate contrastingly castaneous and polished.</emphasis>
Most similar in coloration to

REDESCRIPTION:
<emphasis id="B92EEAF8FF00FF052C28F9AAF8CCF991" box="[344,414,1620,1643]" italics="true" pageId="212" pageNumber="213">Male:</emphasis>
Moderately large, elongate; total length 4.054.60, length apex clypeuscuneal fracture 2.893.22, width across pronotum 1.231.33. COLORATION (fig. 12): General coloration, including most of venter and appendages, orange to reddishorange; clypeus and maxillary plate castaneous and contrasting with remainder of head; membrane heavily fumose, narrowly pale adjacent to posteromesal margin of cuneus and including vein on posterior margin of small cell; antennae black except for pale apical annulus on segment 1 and narrow pale annulus at base of segment 2 (fig. 18); labium usually castaneous near base and apex; femora with numerous dark spots; dorsal tibial spines with dark spots at bases; tibiae dark at femoral articulation. SURFACE AND VESTITURE: Dorsum weakly granular, smooth, weakly shining. Vestiture of dorsum composed of recumbent, relatively long, simple setae unicolorous with dorsum (fig. 38C). STRUCTURE: Body moderately slender, nearly parallel­sided; head distinctly projecting anteriorly, clypeus visible from above; anteocular distance 2.0 times diameter of antennal segment 1; head projecting below eye by at least 1.5 times diameter of antennal segment 1 (fig. 38A); labium very long, reaching to anterior margin of genital capsule in some specimens; metathoracic scent­gland evaporatory area and spiracle as in figure 38B; pretarsus as in figure 38D. GENITA­ LIA (fig. 31): Vesica relatively large, body moderately broad; apical spines weakly angled relative to body of vesica, elongate and relatively slender; flange narrow, barely extending past body of vesica and terminating well below base of secondary gonopore.
