. A moderately sized species,

differs from others in this group by having a smooth pre-setiger region that is not divided into separate rings and with most segments having the acicular spines narrowing to a blunt or curved tip, with the spines having recurved tips limited to the posteriormost cinctured segments. This transition from blunt-tipped spines to the recurved

has not been previously reported in the genus. Two other species in group are also reported in the present paper:
