These specimens could not be reliably identified to genus.

are the largest subfamily of

virtually every mode of life (many very specialized) is known in this subfamily: free living, parasitic, herbivore, carnivore, fungivore, flier, walker, runner, swimmer, social, solitary, etc., but life history is almost unknown at the species level.
